This article is in response to the vicious and unfounded rumors that Apple is now suddenly recommending people use antivirus on a Mac.
It’s not at all sudden it’s been their official response for more than 18 months.

(Oh and yeah and this very MacBook Pro using to write this very article for TechnologyViewer does in deed have an antivirus program on it.)
I run ClamAV but I only run it manually to check out attached devices and networks of the nefarious sort.
