It makes sence if your car’s range is less than 200 miles and you are still fighting an uphill battle to sell electric to the general public.
So that’s what Tesla is doing, they are building solar powered supercharging stations that will charge their model s cars in a half hour. They put a bunch up in California and are planning to build a 100 or so more nation wide.
It’s a start towards having alternative fueling stations, but I just wish they weren’t so brand specific.
