We have always dreamed that the AppleTV would be the perfect set top box if it could tune live channels and be a dvr as well as do everthing it currently does.
Well that dream may be coming true, Mashable is reporting that Apple is in talks with the major cable providers for a set top box. Not a crappy $15 a month type thing either, an upgraded version of an Apple TV that you shell out a few hundred for but then own.
Apple reps were not available for comment on the subject but yeah… I’d be down with that.
