I don’t know, perhaps I’m a bit scrooged due to the economy, but it’s because of this economy that I thought we might see some serious Black friday deals going on… But that doesn’t seem to be the case. At least on the tech front.
The most interesting gadget I have seen thus far that will be on sale on Friday is a $78 Magnavox Blu-ray player at walmart.
As most of you know I’m not a fan of Blu-rays partly because I’m not a fan of Sony, but also because I think physical media is all but dead, but… at that price, it might be worth checking out.
Beyond that the only interesting thing I see is Amazon, which has started running Black Friday Week specials that change hourly. Yes Black Friday Week…

So far the deals at Amazon are pretty decent, but are mostly small ticket items like DVD’s or headphones. But it’s certainly worth a gander.
Amazon is nice enough to make you come back every hour to see the deals too. You can scroll the list of “Lightning Deals” and see some of the upcoming specials too, which is nice.
