Apparently, someone at Google really really hates Internet Explorer. Many people do, but unfortunately so much crap has been written for it, the security & compliance nightmare IE 6 specifically, that many people have no choice.

Enter the new Google Plug-in for IE, Chrome Frame.

Google Chrome Frame - Google Code

Chrome Frame is a plug in for Internet explorer that basically turns IE into Google Chrome.

The plug-in opens a frame within the IE window and that frame runs the more secure and standards compliant Chrome browser.

This is a great idea, except I have a feeling this will still break the functionality of all the stuff out there that needs IE 6 to function. Or does the plug-in seamlessly load up IE when required and drop it for Chrome when it’s not. That would be cool.

Have any of you Internet Explorer fan boys out there given this a try?
