Finally! If you are a developer and you waqnt to sell your Palm Pre Applications, you can now apply to Palm to be in it’s webOS app catalog.
Just like the Google and Apple versions the Palm Pre App catalog will be a 70/30 split of the price (70% to the developers of course) and they expect to have a mid september launch of this e-commerce program that will (unlike blackberry) accesp tcredit cards.
Hopefully this will herald a flood of free and $0.99 applications for the Pre just like it did for the iPhone! But of course the amount of Pre’s out there is just a tad less than the number of iPhones, so I doubt the Pre developers will be able to “make it up in volume” as easily as the Apple developers.
But still, low cost, easy to distribute games and apps for the Pre is a great thing, and can only help push more handsets world wide.
