The Tab feels like a grab bag of neglect, good intentions and poor execution.

Samsung Galaxy Tab Review: A Pocketable Train Wreck

Matt Buchanan, of Gizmodo gives the Samsung Galaxy Tab, a good once over, and while he is careful to point out what is great about it, the problems clearly outweigh the benefits.

This is what I have been waiting for, a real person to have their hands on it long enough to say what is good and what is not, and I think I am glad I took an offer from a friend to buy his iPad at a nice little discount.

However from what I can tell, most of the issues, are software related, and could possibly be fixed when Google releases tablet friendly Gingerbread slated for sometime around the new year.  But he also does complain about the awkward size of the device too, and updates can’t fix that.

What do you think? have you picked up the Galaxy Tab yet?

Update 3pm, Crunch Gear has come out with their own review, and although they had many of the same complaints, they put a much more positive spin on it.   Be sure and read both if you are interested in this device.
