(via iTwin turns any PC into a personal cloud server | Desktop | Gear)
iTwin, billed as the ultimate USB drive but it’s not a drive at all. It’s a way of connecting two computers over the internet.
Plug one half of the iTwin into your home computer, plug the other half in at work, boom the two computers are connected. Share files, remotely edit documents, etc.
It’s billed as a connecting cable, without the cable.
Oh and don’t worry, the two halves generate and share an encryption key, so everything is secure.
Personally I’m a fan of Logmein’s free service for this sort of thing, but this is a neat idea, and at $100 for the set, it seems like a good price.
