1pm eastern seems to be the consensus as to when it will hit the servers but if it’s anything like the last update don’t expect to be able to download it at a reasonable data rate until this evening sometime.
I am looking forward to the update on my iPod Touch. I use my touch quite a bit around the house as a pocket size web surfing device, but the addition of cut & paste could make it far more useful as a content creation device. Hopefully I will be able to even use it to post short posts here, something i could do already with my second generation iPod Touch but the lack of cut and paste for links was a killer.
I’ll update this post as soon as I see it’s available and I’ll probably post a review of firmware 3.0 as soon as I get a chance to play with it.

I have purchased the update for my iPod Touch. I had one glitch accepting the new terms of service but other than that it seems to have gone smoothly, the update is downloading now.
