Fortune thinks they have a scoop on what might be the most interesting Palm Pre rumor I have seen to date.
According to them (linked in title) the Pre will sync with Apple’s iTunes software. Very cool, but it gets better. Apparently the iTunes store and software treats the Pre just like any other iPod or iPhone.
In other words it just works.
The only exception is the Pre can’t play any of the older DRM’d songs you may have in your library still.
So if you havn’t shelled out the $0.30 to upgrade your tracks to iTunes plus, and you are thinking about a Pre, you might want to start doing that.
I can’t belive they have iTunes treating the Pre like an iPod unless they have licened some tech from Apple themselves. But we’ll see in just a few more days now.
