Well look at that.  MSI did it.  They put out their version of the Apple MacBook Air for less than half the price.

Of course if you buy it, it’s going to come with Windows Vista, but….  That’s nothing that an enterprising Hackintosher couldn’t deal with.

If you are looking for an ultralight unit that can handle HD Video playback,for less than $1000, this would be my machine of choice.

I can’t wait to see the news that someone has OS X installed on this one.

UPDATE:  Interestingly, despite the announced $899 price point, Amazon has one version of the machine for even less, $799.   Better grab it before they realize their mistake.
