RIP Amie Street. You were an interesting little music service, but as much as I liked you in theory, apparently you weren’t compelling enough to make me visit you more than a couple times a year. So, sadly, I’m not that surprised that you are fading away.
Although I did discover The Weepies through you, (back before they were popular) so that’s something.
Apparently the team behind Amie Street will be put to work on Songza, a beta music streaming service.
If you have an Amie Street account, you will want to clear it out, use up your credits and download all your purchases by September 22nd.
