Interesting, but it make sense. Now that Amazon is firmly in the mobile computing space, they could use their own OS. The Fire uses a heavily customized version of Android, but why have to muck about with your GUI everytime Google releases a security update for Android, when you could just have your own, really nice OS.
Personally I was looking forward to HP putting WebOS on PC’s but it seems like HP wants out of that business, well this week they do anyway.
WebOS and Amazon would make a great fit, heck… they could even roll out an Amazon phone if they wanted.
