I think what may be the most interesting thing about this announcment is that Bloomberg seems to have blown their NDA/embargo and ran the story a head of the amazon announcment later today. Hmmmm I am betting there are some angry phone calls crossing the country this morning.
Anyway lets look at what they leaked.

So really that’s not much of a suprise there, It’s cheaper than I thought but it seems to come with less. No word on specs under the cover, it looks like this will be a services play, Amazon is about the only other retailer out there that can provide a complete suite of integrated services (Music, Aps, Movies, TV, Books, Magazines) like the Apple iPad.
But I am betting there is more to the Amazon announcement thats to come. Amazon has more than just hardware up it’s sleeve on this one.
