In switch, cable operators want to go a la carte
Well it may be too little too late for me personally, I very much like my internet only tv that I have been surviving on for over a year, but…
This is still a good plan for the rest of America. Cable bills are out of control, and most Americans need a break, or the Cable companies are going to lose a lot more than the 1.2 million they already have.
If this had happened a year ago I think I would still be a subscriber, but instead of have a hundred some channels, I would have had…
- The 5 Local Stations
- Food Network
- Discovery
- BBC America
- Disney
- and maybe ESPN/YES but probably not.
Thats it, how much for just those stations, maybe $35 a month. Thats a Bill I could deal with, and I bet (perhaps not these exact choices) I represent most of America.
Unbundle this stuff, and if the smaller networks can’t survive, then they can’t survive. That’s Capitalism, that’s what we are supposed to be about in America. But in reality, our entertainment is socialized, our health care is socialized, Our banks, our schools, our government, asll Socialized.
Come on Cable companies, unbundle your channels, it’s only American.
