You remember the Eee PC right?  It’s that Asus brand that defined the netbook revolution but then lost itself in it’s own creation by deluding it’s brand with 15 versions of netbooks, laptops, and even desktop systems.

Well they are back and now that have a 9” screen netbook style device that has a touch screen and can be converted/swiveled into a tablet PC.

Normally, this type of notebook computer runs in the $2000 price range, for something with a 12” to 14” screen.   But it looks like the Asus 9” netbook version could see a release stateside around the $700 price point.

Included in the mix is rumored to be a GPS chipset and a DTV receiver.

If it comes to market with these goodies in tact then this might be a pretty good value, but I really hate it when devices that have the netbook moniker floating around them go over the $500 price point.

Hey Asus I am still waiting for that $200 notebook computer you promised me oh so long ago.
