Gizmodo reports that Intel has scored big by teaming up with Android, and that all future versions of Android OS will be optimized for x86 chips as well as ARM processors.
What’s this mean? well Intel Atom in an android tablet sounds like a “well duh” statement. But what else could this mean?
With x86 support in android, could than mean we could see Android powered notebooks and desktops? Sure it could Android is a just another flavor of Linux, at it’s core, so why wouldn’t we see desktop distros of android hit the linux world?
And with the robust app store to go with it, that is an interesting possibility.
